Powers of Attorney
Not only do we witness and notarise all manner of powers of attorney, both for individuals and for companies and corporations that have been prepared for use in a foreign country but we also provide a specialised service in the drafting and preparation of powers of attorney for use in Spanish speaking countries. We can advise on suitable wording to comply with Spanish law and recommend which faculties should be included and which may be superfluous to your needs. We prepare documents in Spanish and/or English for signature before Elaine Standish in Chichester and, in the event that travel to Chichester is not convenient, we can prepare powers of attorney for signature before a local notary, providing instructions for their completion by the local notary.
In the case of powers of attorney for companies we can prepare documents that comply with both the requirements of the Spanish system as well as English law and we will also draft the necessary board resolutions and deal with whatever translations of company documents that may be required as well.
